New bike, Avatar

I’ve always wanted to have a bike. So I went out and got a new one! Rather, a new old bike. They said it is a well kept bike but what do I know. I just knew I like the look of mountain bikes and that I can’t afford to get a brand new one. I it for 65 quid, accessories (lock, lights, helmet and Edinburgh bike route map) 50 more from The Bike Station which was recommended by a friend. Very friendly staff.

It started to snow when I was in the bike shop. Given I’m not confident to share the road with cars and buses, and snow on top of it, I thought ten times before deciding to ride it home. I finally made it though. My hands were freezing. And then I had to carry it to my flat (three floors up) because 1. I couldn’t find room to lock it up downstairs 2. I knew I wasn’t going to ride it often and 3. I wanted to study it.

I saw Avatar today. I rate it 7/10.

I was hoping to lock it downstairs. I then realized there isn’t space there. What pissed me off even more was at least one of the bikes that was taking up space was dusty. They are using the hallway as their personal store room. Maybe I should pull one of my luggages from under my bed and dump it there.

If you try cycling now it will all come back to you. Tip: accept the fact that you might fall.

I just checked out the temperature. Highest 25 degrees and lowest 7. You call that cold? Pfffft.

yo, that bike is a good look! no mud guard and all 😀

i must be the only human being to have learnt how to ride a bike and then forget it. it is a shame, taking into consideration the town i live in.

here too, the weather is acting up. ba da is registering the lowest daily temperatures in weather reports. who said that we, “edeketema”, can not be cool? 😈

how long are you planning on carrying the bike upstairs? is it part of the kind of exercise you had in mind when you bought the bike?

“and then there was a very bloody war —— killed——–” 😆

one film that stands out in my memory for its boring car chase scenes is ronin. i fail to remember anything of the story. there was just cars, and endless chasing. and they did not stop. not even when the credits started to roll.
