Sunday in London

It was nice to find an Orthodox Church owned by Ethiopians. It took two hours to find it – as a consequence of which I fell asleep during the teaching. Nothing like falling asleep in a Church though! It feels peaceful.

Then I spent some more time finding a restaurant I had seen the previous night (I really need to work on my navigation skills!). I knew I was on the right place when I saw this from the outside.

And what else but yetsom beyanentu with yekimem shay!

Ende hode yalefelet sew yelem yihen samint.

the injera and wot came separately (see the “shekla sahin” at the top right corner?). i was starving so i dumped all the wot on the injera and got on with it. it’s even lucky i took time to take its picture. how many yetsom beyanetu’s get a chance to be remembered? we’ve been very nice to them on this blog.

your aynet beats mine hands down. the color is so sexy. but why is one wot leaning on the other? or is it a style that i don’t know about?

stop referring to your hod as if it were a person. or is it?

and you know what else is good when done inside churches? praying.
